WWhat are Droppers? Droppers are no independent pigeon breed. They should be white If you want to practice flying pigeon sport seriously you will not get around Droppers. in any case so that the Tipplers can spot them easily. They should not like flying a lot and not be afraid of humans. For this reason I always raise my Droppers by hand. The following breeds are suited for Dropping: Fantail, Arabian Trumpeter, Old Dutch Tumbler as well as crossbreeds. As soon as the young pigeons are separated from their parents, there is a Dropper brought into the young´s pigeonry with every meal. The Dropper should have a good appetite so that he starts eating right away. When all the food is eaten the Dropper is taken out of the box and does not return until the next feeding. After 2-3 days the young have learned that Droppers equal food.

dropperWith Tipplers that react well to Droppers the training is easier. What the pigeons have learned as young pigeons they will know as older pigeons.

Before I use my Droppers I sprinkle them with water, because afterwards they will clean themselves thoroughly and attract more attention.

The Dropper should be the breeder´s elongated arm.
